On October 9, 2024, a lecture on international travel took place in Lecture Hall C. Members of the student association had the chance to learn about the activities of the Foreign Department, explore travel opportunities, and hear about the experiences of other students. The main points of the lecture included SEP (Student Exchange Program), Twinnet, information about IPSF and EPSA, what our membership in international organizations means for us, as well as details about upcoming congresses. All participants realized that traveling with the association can broaden their horizons, help them step out of the "Hradec bubble," and allow them to meet global healthcare experts, experience the functioning of pharmacies, or study abroad, offering valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth.
As students, we have a freedom that won't be as easily available once we start working, so we should take advantage of every opportunity and travel! SEP, the Student Exchange Program, is a way to gain practical experience abroad during the summer. During the lecture, members also learned that the association offers a grant of 5,000 CZK, which will definitely help with the travel costs. The application deadline is November 30, so sign up, choose three countries, and meet new people and cultures. We were inspired by SEP stories from Romania, Poland,Serbia, Switzerland, the USA, and even South Korea.
Twinnet, on the other hand, is a short, week-long trip to a country (that will be announced soon), and it’s the most financially accessible option.
