HIV/AIDS week

Do you know, what is the 1st of December dedicated to? It is World AIDS Day. Even though the Czech Republic is still a country with a relatively low number of HIV positive people, the number of HIV positive individuals has increased ten times in the past 10 years. In the past years, the Czech Republic has been the 5th country with the most increasing number of HIV positive in the whole world.

This is precisely the reason why we try to spread awareness about this disease together with IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations). During the week dedicated to HIV, everyone can buy typical ribbons. All the earned money goes to the ‘Red Ribbon’ - fund supporting the Czech Society AIDS Help. You can also get tested for free in an ambulance which is provided by ‘Pleasure Without Risks’ organization. CzPSA also takes part in this event - either by organizing the lecture or by preparing an online campaign shared on social media.

The whole week is lightened by a crazy party the infamous ‘Sexual Fantasies’. All the earning from the party as well as from the ribbon sale is send to help HIV positive patients.
